Survive in this Valheim inspired base building game in a level that contains randomly generated resources and a day night cycle.

Controls:
Movement: WASD
Jump: Spacebar
Sprinting and Auto-pickup: Left Shift

Features:
Harvesting System
The level is populated with resources that drop pickups when destroyed.

Stone boulders (stone)
Berry Bushes (berries) regenerate if picked and not destroyed from being chopped.

8 building pieces
Grid snapping placement
Includes triangles and 45 degree rotations

Inventory System
Drag n drop within inventory
Drop items out of inventory
Building cost and weight deductions when building.

Save and Load System
This system will save structures players have made and where they built them as well as inventory slots materials/resources and amounts. 4 save slots per user.

Player
Resources - trees and rocks that have not been broken down yet

Environment:
Day/night cycle
Randomly generated resource placement
Berries regenerate if picked and not destroyed from being chopped.

Vitals:
Health - Decreases when Hunger is low, from fall damage, and when player temp gets too high or too low. Increases from berry pickups.
hunger - Decreases over time. Increases from berry pickups.
stamina - Decreases when sprinting, regains when not sprinting.
Temperature - Day and night sets this value to extremes. Firepits increase.

Other:
This game was built in Unreal 5 to explore our favorite mechanics, taking advantage of performance introduced with Nanites and Mesh Instancing. The inventory and saving system was made in c++ and implemented with blueprints. The building, harvesting, Day/night, and vitals systems all made in blueprints.
